The Singapore Air Force Museum reopened on 16 June 2026 after a major refresh, having closed for renovation since November 2025. Centred on the theme "Defending Our Skies," the museum now uses interactive exhibits, immersive technology, and augmented reality to bring RSAF heritage and innovation to life, alongside an expanded collection of artefacts.

The revamp keeps all nine galleries, including the Outdoor Gallery with RSAF aircraft on display. A highlight is the short film "What If," which follows a fighter pilot, a Ground-Based Air Defence team member, and a veteran reflecting on what Singapore would look like without an air force. Families can also enjoy a C-130-shaped playground in RSAF livery. The museum is open daily except Wednesdays, 10am to 5pm, with free admission.

Design Insomnia Pte Ltd delivered the full lighting solution for the Singapore Air Force Museum revamp, reopened on 17 June 2026 — spanning lighting design, equipment supply, installation, and programming. The project ran for approximately one year, from the tender stage through planning and execution. The scope included over 160 mini LED profiles for exhibits, gobo projectors, moving lights, LED pars, DMX-controlled fans, and an MA3 control system powering the museum's immersive theatre experience, delivered in partnership with SpaceLogic Group, working with Defence Collective Singapore as Design and Build partner.
