Into the Ocean: Journey Beneath 2026 (Singapore)

ArtScience Museum, Singapore

Lighting Design

ArtScience Museum and OceanX take visitors on a descent from sunlit shallows to the ocean's darkest reaches, anchored by previously unseen footage from OceanX's deep-sea submersibles — the same material behind BBC's Blue Planet II and National Geographic's OceanXplorers. Along the way, that footage sits alongside work from artists Marshmallow Laser Feast, Marco Barotti, Jana Winderen, Robertina Šebjanič, Lachlan Turczan, Sissel Tolaas, Ong Kian Peng and bit.studio, plus coral reef research from NUS.

The result is less a walkthrough than a shift in perspective: the ocean as one living system, not a backdrop. Interactive elements tie the exhibition to active conservation work, so the experience doesn't end at the exit — it's built to carry visitors' attention back out to the sea itself.
